Flexi is a responsively designed theme based on the well loved Sandox canvas theme. With basic styling and structural CSS, this is my attempt at a project base-theme to save time and effort in the early stages of any new project.
There are many great stripped back themes available but very few that offer the flexibility and easy to use base structure of Sandbox, which I have used religiously now for the last three years. The sad truth is that in that time Sandbox has missed out on some of the great updates that WordPress has rolled out, such as, custom menus and footer widgets meaning that with every new project Sandbox needed to be brought into line with the current technology.
This is what inspired me to create Flexi, as well as the recent changes in the way we all use the web, including the explosion in mobile and tablet Internet usage. So along with the WordPress function updates I have also added some basic structure to save time as well as making the overall framework respond to whatever device the user prefers; not to mention a little CSS3 easing to make the whole theme feel a little slicker!
